Lost in Thought: The Hidden Pleasures of an Intellectual Life

By Zena Hitz

Sarah's Notes:

Even among academics, the time and resources for pursuing the intellectual life are hard to come by and,  too often, the life of the mind is undervalued. Hitz's book is, in effect, a love letter to a contemplative life that is necessarily solitary at times but with real social benefits. A great read for anyone who loves the idea of becoming lost in thought.
